We are excited to showcase this well proportioned single storey rear extension with large kitchen diner and shower room in Thorneywood – a stones throw from our base in Mapperley.
The client had quite a strict brief, as they knew exactly what they wanted. We put their idea to paper and made sure the roof design, rooflights, bifold doors and landscaped garden worked with the site constraints. We quickly realised that designing this extension in 3D was going to be advantageous. An existing lean to roof over the garage with low eaves made the roof construction a slight challenge and much easier to visualise in 3D, whilst creating a sunken patio meant further thought as to how the external walls would be constructed and ‘tanked’.
Construction will start in spring 2025 on this extension, and we cant wait to get down to site to see it pop up!
